Frequently asked questions
Is this a replacement for medication or veterinary care?
No. Meowool stickers are for short-term comfort support. If your cat has severe anxiety, aggression, appetite loss, litter box changes, pain signs, or sudden behavior changes, talk to a veterinarian.
Why did a pheromone product not work for my cat before?
Cats respond differently to calming products. Public discussions about pheromone sprays and diffusers often mention mixed results: some cats improve, while others show little change. Results can depend on the cat’s stress level, the environment, the placement, and whether the root cause is behavioral or medical.
Is it safe for cats to lick or chew?
The sticker should be placed where your cat cannot chew, lick, or swallow it. It is designed to be near your cat’s space, not attached to your cat’s body. If your cat is likely to chew stickers or small objects, place it outside the carrier or out of direct reach.
Will it stop scratching, hiding, meowing, or spraying?
No product can guarantee that. These behaviors can happen for many reasons, including stress, medical issues, territory changes, litter box problems, pain, or fear. Meowool stickers may help create a more familiar-feeling space, but sudden or severe behavior changes should be checked by a veterinarian.
Why do cats get stressed?
Yes. Meowool stickers use synthetic feline facial pheromones with no drugs or sedatives. They are safe for cats 2 weeks and older, including pregnant and senior cats. If your cat has special health conditions, consult your vet first.
How long does each sticker last?
Each Meowool sticker has 2 press-to-activate beads. Press one bead for up to 12 hours of support, then press the second bead for another 12 hours. Each sticker can support up to 24 hours of use.
Do cat calming pheromone stickers really work?
Cat calming pheromone stickers may help some cats feel more familiar and secure during short-term stressful moments, such as vet visits, car rides, moving, or entering a new room. They are not a guaranteed fix for every cat, and they work best when used with a calm setup, familiar bedding, gentle handling, and enough hiding space.
How are Meowool stickers different from a plug-in diffuser?
Plug-in diffusers are designed for one room at home and need an outlet. Meowool stickers are made for portable, short-term comfort zones, such as a carrier, car, hotel room, moving area, or temporary cat space. They are easier to use when your cat is away from their usual room.
Are pheromone stickers better than calming sprays?
They are better for people who do not want to spray fabric or leave wet residue. Sprays can work well on carriers or bedding, but many cat parents dislike the repeated spraying step. Meowool stickers are press-to-activate and stay near your cat’s space without spraying liquid onto fabric.
Can I use calming stickers with other calming products?
Yes. Meowool stickers contain no drugs and can be used alongside calming treats, sprays, or supplements. However, avoid using multiple pheromone products simultaneously to prevent overwhelming scents.
What's the difference between calming stickers, sprays, and collars?
Calming Stickers: Portable, no electricity needed, ideal for temporary situations (24 hours per sticker).
Sprays: Need repeated application, shorter duration (4–6 hours).
Collars: Continuous release, suitable for long-term stress (up to 30 days), but not ideal for short trips.
